There is still time to submit your comments on the Pinebanks proposals. These can be emailed to planning.bdc@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk quoting the application numbers below:
20212058 (Pinebanks)
20212059 (Langley North)
20212060 (Langley South)
20212061 (Griffin Lane)

What are the main issues?

  • Loss of green space and habitats, and no community alternatives being provided

  • Massive increase in vehicle movements on residential roads not designed to cope, such as Henby Way and Hillcrest Road

  • 52% increase in the number of proposed properties, such as Griffin Lane (originally it was 70 properties now it’s 130)

  • Blocks of flats proposed along ‘Pinebanks Ridge’

  • Road safety concerns

  • Anglia water have not assessed the impact

The Pinebanks, Langley North, Langley South and Griffin Lane sites are going to be developed, we get that, but the scale of the proposed development is, in our view, too large.
